Photoshop:Color your car
Written by Administrator

This adobe photoshop tutorial is the first out of a long set of car editing photoshop tutorials. One tutorial will be released every week covering different parts. In this photoshop tutorial, we are going to change the color of this car using photoshop. We first select the body of the car using the Magic Wand Tool with Tolerance 25 It's ok if some external pixels are selected, we'll fix those later Lets take care of those unwanted pixels, press Q to go in quickmask mode Using the paint brush, paint the unwanted pixels in red Using the eraser, erase the colored part to have that part selected You should have something looking like this in the end. (my selection sucks cuz i'm doing this on my laptop using the laptop mouse =0) ) Press Q again and now you have perfectly selected the body of your car.
Press CTRL+C then CTRL+V to copy paste the selected layer on the background.
Now press CTRL+U so we edit the colors of this upper layer (Layer1).
I went for the sky blue color, to do that, check the Colorize box, set Hue to +230, Saturation to +68 and Lightness to +19.
Press OK and you should have this result.
Congrats you changed the color of your car.
Coming next week...

Thanks
Glad u like it, I had a look at photoshop cs3 beta last night, the selecting procedure will be much easier as there's a special tool for that which is easier to use than the magic wand!

thanks
The example looks unreal and too bright because they probably increased the saturation. If you leave the saturation at 25 you get the desired effect. :zzz
